7 weeks

Bronson is now 7 weeks old. We took him to see the pediatrician on Wednesday because there was some swelling around his penis…I officially had my first “worried well” meaning that as I first time mom I am worried about nothing. The fun thing was that were able to get him weighed. He now weighs 14.1lbs. I was wondering why I thought my arm was getting tired when I was carrying him. He is starting to “mature” he does more social smiles and coos. It’s fun to watch.  His eyes are also changing. They started out a dark blue and are now a slate gray. Not sure if that means that they will end up being blue/green like me or brown like Kris. We were able to get out this week and do our first official hike, we did flat-top, or at least to the first saddle. We had him in the ERGO baby, the front carrier. Lets just say my legs were so wobbly but it was fun. When we started out it was good weather then we got rained on. We are just trying to toughen up Bronson for these hardly Alaskan Winters. Our other fun plans….we are painting out house. Well, we have hired some people to paint our house but they so nicely pointed out all the things we should fix before they paint…so kris just went to lowes and got some siding, rain gutters, and shingles. Nothing like end of September to do some roofing!

we hiked up to the first saddle of flat top. My legs were VERY sore.

6 weeks

Ah we have hit the 6 week mark. Again..holy cow...6 weeks. This was a long week. Kris had to work a full 5 days of 10-12 hour shifts and on Friday Bronson decided to come down with a cold. Needless to say worried parents with a baby full of snot sounding like he was choking didn't leave much time for sleep. Kris was amazing though and let me get ample amount of sleep this weekend so I am ready to blog this morning!!! I did pick my first baby booger. It really didn't seem to affect Bronson much, he appeared happy, probably because I didn't put him down except to change him on Friday. This weekend we went to our Friend Huebels house for the cowboys game. WE were decked out in our near gear(thanks mom), but it didn't help. The cowboys still lost. We looked good though.

Bronson is growing. We are going to the pediatrician Wednesday so we will have an official weight. He is starting to social smile a little more and does some coo's if he not tired and grumpy.

We are really excited today because Bronson will have a friend born. Abbey Volf is being induced today. She went in at 6 am and I am anxiously awaiting a phone call from her. We still don't know if it is a boy or a girl but Tank will have a friend...the downside?????Abbey and Kyle are moving! They sprang that little nugget on us last week They are moving back to Montana to be closer to family. I am super happy for them, slightly jealous, and sad. Hopefully next week we will have a few pictures of the VOLFSTER and Bronson side by side.

5 weeks

5 weeks
Bronson is 5 weeks today. This week has not brought much new changes. He is becoming   more   awake and alert and I sometimes thinks that he smiles at me, but that could be gas!! The big event this week was his first football game! We bought a special outfit, as you can see below, to watch the cowboys. Just our luck the cowboys won the first game of the season. We are also lucky because my mom was actually in Dallas this week and picked up some really cute baby dallas cowboys gear. Can’t wait to take more pictures of that. We have had a beautiful but very crisp fall weekend. (yes it is fall here). There is snow in the mountains and all the leaves are a pretty yellow. We enjoyed two long walks in the sun with Kris, which was so nice. So not much new to report. Hope everyone is doing well!
