Powerline Fun
The day after Christmas they opened up powerline to Snow Mobiles. Kris was very happy because instead of the three hour one direction to ride, he was able to drive 20 minutes and be able to ride. The snow wasn't as deep as he would have liked, and he did hit a rock and fly over his handle bars, but he had fun. I opted for the less fast cross country ski option. I had to try out my new xmas skis!!! It was great fun. My legs are pretty sore from "gliding" but i didn't fall and Chloe had a great time. Here are a few pics.

Merry Xmas
I hope everyone had a very Merry Xmas and they received Joyful news :) We played it really low key. We got up, had coffee from my new Keurig coffee maker (which i am enjoying a cup from now as well), and opened presents. Santa brought Kris a new snow machining backpack, Extra Tuffs *alaskan rubber boots that are aweseome* and a Gun. At one point kris had on his new superman underwear, extra tuffs, a backpack and was holding his gun. It was quite the site.
After we opened presents we made bacon wrapped dates and funeral potatoes and headed to Abbey and Kyle's house. We enjoyed way too much food and fun with friends. As always, Christmas would have been better with family around but we always make the best of it.
We are off to go snow machining and x-country skiing at flat top. Pics to come (hopefully)
Kris Did an excellent wrap job. Look at the Bow he made! |
Hooray for Coffee. I also ended up with a new pair of cross country skis, Pens, a bracelet, socks and gloves. Everything I asked for. Kris does listen to me occasionally! |
Bob knows how to make Kris happy. He is already plotting how to Kill zombies |

BP Xmas Party 2011
Ah, the yearly BP Xmas party came and went. This year it was at a different location, which actually worked well because Bp was on the third floor and alaska heart was on the 2nd, so we got two parties for one. BP obviously has a bigger budget so we spent most of our time there. It was fun as always. It's about the once a year time that I can get Kris out and actually dance with me. He says it's because he's dancing with a bunch of other Engineers so he doesn't feel out of his league.
We had a hotel that we had won at an NPR auction and so we thought what a better way to celebrate than with friends at a hotel. It was fun. I was lucky and Rachel loves to do hair and make-up and so I was able to benefit from her talents.
There are chocolate fountains, food and drink galore. BP provides taxi cab rides home and free xmas photos. Here are the two week got.
Overall we had a great night and now we are home relaxing and watching football and eating Pizza. Pretty much a great weekend.

Decorating for xmas
Merry Christmas |
We have come to a conclusion on tree picking...we went to Lowes and Home Depot to pick out our tree. Kris was not pleased that all all these trees were wrapped up tight. He thought that they were tricking us and the trees were probably defective. So we went to a greenhouse in town and all their trees were hanging, open so you could see every nook and cranny. We were pleased. They also cut the bottom, but it in plastic, and loaded it into our truck. I forgot what good customer service, or more over, good hometown care was like.

Oh and PS. We have had crazy weather here. Kris was going to go snowmaching but it is 40 degrees and raining!! Almost all the snow is gone. Crazy.
